Membership

Towson Elks Lodge #469 is located just blocks from the business, legal, political and shopping center of Towson, Maryland, the county seat of Baltimore County, Maryland. Residing on the same property since February 28, 1899, the year the lodge was formed, our membership has included some of the most prominent business, political, and legal leaders in Maryland.

Although our membership is derived from all walks of life, it has included many small and large business leaders, distinguished judges, lawyers and doctors, state congressmen, senators and a past Maryland Governor. We are very proud to have members that are police officers, firemen, active military and veterans.

Programs

Our members strongly support several youth programs that include Drug Awareness, the Hoop Shoot, Student Scholarships and a Americanism Essay Contest. We join the National Elks in aiding the Elks' Home and Foundation, as well as, patriotic events on Veterans Day, Flag Day, and Memorial Day. As a lodge we provide a Thanksgiving dinner and Christmas gifts for disabled veterans in the Maryland area.

Activities

The lodge features a classic lounge with four flat screen TVs for sports watching and a newly installed sound system for our music entertainment. Our adjacent 80% covered spacious deck with bar also features two screen TVs and music sound system. In our dinning room members often offer gourmet dinners and can view a large flat screen TV. The lower level of the lodge offers pool and two shuffleboard tables, a large flat screen TV, a bar and dance floor. The lower level is often rented for parties.

The members enjoy gathering together away from the lodge for our family picnic, bowling, bull roast, street festivals, and parades. Additionally, many members form smaller social groups that enjoy sharing private parties.
